The other morning, I was sitting with my coffee when I received my ISBN number.

It might not sound like a big deal. But you need an ISBN number when you publish a book — it’s what enables bookshops and libraries to find the book. And that was the last thing I needed. So once the number was sorted, I sent the manuscript off for layout and printing.

My third book. It’s called Build Your Own Profitable Newsletter.

I’ve been working on it on and off for over a year, mostly during those hours when my energy levels are at their best. Not in long, intense writing binges, but quietly and steadily, alongside the newsletters and everything else.

Along the way, I’ve often been asked: Why write a book about newsletters in the 2026?

The answer is, in fact, the very reason the book exists. When you use social media, there’s an algorithm that determines how far you reach your audience. It’s the same with Google and SEO. It’s not like that with a newsletter.

If you have 100 subscribers, you reach all 100. And then they decide for themselves whether they want to read what you send, not a machine.

That difference is greater than it sounds. And the book takes you through the whole journey: from the initial idea to a newsletter that generates income. Step by step, even if you’re starting without a single reader.

The last thing I did before sending it out was to do a final round of editing myself. I found three minor spelling mistakes. It should ideally be 100 per cent perfect — but books never are, so I hope no one spots anything.

It’s due out in medio September, initially as a paperback, a proper book you can hold in your hand and write in. And the first people to buy it will receive a special bonus, which I’ll tell you about in the coming weeks.

More next week.
